Operation principle and Application of Sponge Iron Rotary Kiln
The rotary kiln used to produce sponge iron is mainly used for heating and calcining various mineral materials in metallurgy, construction, and ores etc, such as ceramsite sand, bauxite, limestone, cement, metal magnesium, alumina, hydroxide alumina, flyash , high aluminum refractory materials etc .
♦ Sponge iron Rotary kiln is mainly used for calcining hematite or limonite, to improve the grade of Fe% , the maximun grade is 99%.
♦ Sponge iron also called Metallurgy chemical kiln is mainly used for lean iron ore magnetized roasting in steel plants of metallurgical industry, chromium and nickel iron ore oxidizing roasting, bauxite roasting in refractory plants, chamotte and aluminum hydroxide roasting in aluminium factory, and chrome ore roasting in chemical plant.
♦ Sponge iron also can used for roasting active lime and light burned dolomite for steel plants and ferroalloy works.
The Sponge iron rotary kiln working process is made up of gas flow, fuel burning, heat transfer, and material movement etc.
The Sponge iron rotary kiln is to make the fuel fully burning, the heat from which can be effectively pass to materials, so that material can produce series of physical and chemical changes after receiving the heat, finally forming finished product chamotte.
Structure Features of Sponge Iron Rotary Kiln
The sponge iron rotary kiln is composed of cylinder, supporting device, supporting device with catch wheel, transmission device, active kiln head, sealing device, burning device and feeding device and kiln head combustion equipment etc.
The sponge iron rotary kiln is a circular cylinder, which is obliquely installed on several pairs of tugs. After the motor decelerating, the cylinder revolves around by the small gear driving big gear.
