Brief Introduction and Application of Cement Rotary Kiln

Cement kiln is composed of cylinder, gears, supports device, kiln liner and kiln tail sealing equipment, kiln head hood, and combustion.Cylinder as heated pivoting part, made of high-quality carbon steel plate, is supported on the first or some gear in order to control the turning of cylinder. Gearing gyrate according to process-required rotating speed by ring gear in the middle of cylinder. Because of the need of installation or maintenance, bigger rotary kiln has auxiliary gears, which makes cylinder gyrate more slowly. To prevent cold air come in and dust overflow, the reliable kiln tail and head sealing equipment is installed on feed and discharge end.
The cement rotary kiln belongs to building equipment such as chemical rotary kiln and active lime rotary kiln. According to different materials, there are cement kiln, metallurgy chemical kiln and lime kiln. Cement rotary kiln is widely used for calcining cement clinker and there are two types for cement production: dry cement kiln and wet cement kiln. Metallurgy chemical kiln is used for metallurgy industry, for example, in iron and steel plant for magnetic roasting of depleted iron ore and oxidizing roasting of chromium and nickel iron ore; in refractory plant for roasting high alumina bauxite mine; in aluminum plant for roasting clinker aggregate, aluminum hydroxide; in chemistry plant for roasting chromium ore and similar ores. Lime kiln (lime rotary kiln) is used to roast active lime for steel and iron plant and ferroalloy plant and lightly calcine dolomite.
Working Principle of Cement Rotary Kiln
In the mining production process, there are many types of rotary kilns. According to the firing methods of the kiln, it can be divided into direct fired rotary kiln and indirect fired rotary kiln; according to the processing methods, it can be divided into dry process rotary kiln, wet process rotary kiln and dry and wet types rotary kiln. In addition, Hongxing Machinery now has researched and developed a cylinder rotary kiln which has a cylinder drum, thus improving the production capacity of the machine and reducing the energy consumption. And what is more, the clay rotary kiln now also has wide application range in the cement making, building materials and clay manufacturing industry.
The materials to be burnt get into the stove from the higher end of the cylinder. Due to the slope and slow rotation of the cylinder, the material moves around from top to bottom along the axis to finish its process. At last, the finished materials get into the cooler through the burner hood. The fuel gets into the kiln through the head of the kiln. The waste gas will be discharged from the end of the kiln after exchanging heat with the materials.
Through the technical renovations, the rotary kiln calcining system equipment made has adopted the advanced hydraulic thrust roller device, the high measuring precession plunger pump, the variable speed adjusted valve, the contact graphite block sealing device and the other national advanced technologies. In order to raise up automation degree, the industrial TV has been used at the kiln head for monitoring of kiln, the simulation phosphor screen has been used for display of process flow; the infrared scanning system has been adopted for calcining zone to directly reflect the burning conditions on the computer.
